About
Marcello is a wonderful crystal water beach in the heart of Parikia’s Gulf. It is very easily accessible from Heart of Paros Apartments and offers plenty of options for everyone. There is a quiet side suited for anyone looking to lay in the fine sand and enjoy the sea as well as a more organised side with a beach bar and a small restaurant. The water is calm (protected by the gulf) and has a fantastic turquoise colour. Marcello is a beach that caters to all styles.
How to get there
There are several options to get to Marcello.
A) Take a small boat that departs from the port of Paros every half hour (5 min walk from Heart of Paros Apartments) and takes 15 mins with a cost of 3 euros one-way. This is a beautiful ride where you cross the gulf of Parikia in a traditional boat while being surrounded by beautiful water.

B) Drive or ride a scooter to the beach. Simply enter on Google maps “Marcello beach” and it is a 10min ride from Heart of Paros Apartments
C) Walk around the entire gulf. This is an easy walk that takes around 40 mins from Heart of Paros Apartments. You just need to walk along a path next to the sea and around the gulf while enjoying the really beautiful scenery. You can follow the route to Krios, then cross the beach and you will be at the eastern side of Marcello beach.

Go the extra mile

If you follow a small coastal path for only 10 mins (1km) you will get to Agios Fokas church and the remains of an old lighthouse!
On your way to the church you will have beautiful views of the crystal clear water as well as Marcello and the entire Parikia.
Once there, you will find a white and blue traditional church right next to the coast. It is a famous spot for weddings.
Finally, walk another 5 mins to get inside the remains of the lighthouse and enjoy more views of the endless Aegean blue!
